Stylists embark on Alfaparf Milano's elite education

The Alfaparf Milano Professional Architects of Design (AOD) programme kicked off recently at the brand's academy in Dublin.

The AOD elite education programme runs over 12 months and offers the opportunity for 10 hair professionals to enhance their cutting and colour techniques through mentorship at Alfaparf Milano Professional Academies in Rome, London, Barcelona and Dublin.

They will also learn the multi-disciplines of being a hairdressing today, including communication techniques and presentation skills.

In Autumn 2025, at the end of the year-long programme, each AOD member gets to showcase their talent on stage and take part in a photoshoot.

The 10 stylists from across Ireland and the UK who are participating in the AOD Prolagéne this year are Sarah Lyons (Sarah Lyons Hair & Beauty Bar), Zeta Russell (Hairitage), Nicole McCormac (The Hair Company), Maria Mallon (Studio M), Ruth Byrne (Blakes Hair Salon), Dee Conroy (Redz), Shauna Kehoe (Sean Taaffe), Mitchell Gough (G&E McIntyre), Steve Turner (Six Salon), and Tracie Webb (Fatal Attraction).

The Dublin event started with a social media masterclass from Coia Dahill, Alfaparf Milano Professional Brand Ambassador, followed by demonstrations on executing the perfect bob and colour from Alfaparf Milano Professional team members Beatrice Moate and Piero Gentile.

Students will next travel to Italy to attend the Alfaparf Milano Professional Academy in Rome.
