Image Skillnet is a not-for-profit, enterpriseled training network, formed to support the hair and beauty sector within the Republic of Ireland. Their aim is to support and enable enterprises to participate in workforce development and life-long learning in order to build a strong and sustainable workforce within the hair and beauty sector. The service delivers high-quality and effective training that has an impact on the participant, the enterprise, the sector and the wider economy. It is funded by member companies and the Training Networks Programme, an initiative of Skillnets funded from the National Training Fund through the Department of Education and Skills. Your company or employer, or yourself if you're selfemployed, must join Image Skillnet to gain part funding for the training – but membership is free. SPRING AT WAVERLEY
The Waverley Academy has launched their spring course schedule, with classes ranging from international teaching qualifications to award-winning lash courses. Course coordinator and TWA Director Veronica Clinton says: “We have our most comprehensive range of courses ever and there is something for everyone, from
one-day lash courses to hairdressing diplomas to combination courses that can be completed in a short space of time. All our courses are designed for busy therapists with flexible payments and flexible training options. NEW FORMAT
V.Claire Natural Cosmetics has introduced a new format to their PHYT'S Skincare professional training for skin therapists. The idea is to equip beauty therapists with great knowledge of the skin and the benefits and effects of the skincare chosen. The newly designed course aims to help a therapist get to know their client and
their client's skin so they feel able to advise the appropriate care and products. Course content includes modules on skin anatomy, skin types and conditions, and professional treatment theory on particular skin types.
