Shared Beauty Secrets founder crowdfunds for latest product
The beauty entrepreneur behind Lava Shells in the UK and Ireland has launched a crowdfunding campaign to fund further development of a new self-heating eye mask to aid sleep and wellbeing.
Clare Anderson, founder of Shared Beauty Secrets, has started a £10,000 Kickstarter campaign for the advanced development of Sensory Sleep, a patent pending vegan silk eye mask with pockets for the optional addition of self-heating inserts.
The Sensory Sleep Eye Mask, an adaptation of the single-use eye mask offered by Clare's Sensory Retreats brand, can be used to upgrade salon and spa treatments as well as retailed to clients for home use.
The reusable eye mask offers total light reduction and self-heating inserts to induce sleep and alleviate stress and eye strain. In addition, the gift boxed mask is accompanied by a sleep track composed especially for Sensory Sleep by pianist Christina McMaster.
Phase 2 and 3 of the product development process, for which Clare is running the Kickstarter campaign, will include cooling technology and weighted aromatherapy wheat inserts, making the mask multi-purpose.
Commenting on the launch of the Kickstarter campaign, Clare Anderson says:
“I have always held innovation and quality in high regard, and always listen closely to customer feedback, building relationships with them that enable us to understand their priorities and needs - especially when it comes to their sleep routines and general wellbeing. After listening to the feedback from my other businesses: Shared Beauty Secrets and Sensory Retreats, I saw a gap in the market for a totally new product and the ideas for Sensory Sleep were born.
“The Kickstarter campaign will enable us to accelerate our 2024 launch and planned product development to build a comprehensive range of luxurious home and spa-use products, resources and support to help everyone achieve a wonderful night's sleep.”
Supporters who would like to
back the Kickstarter project can do so before 30th September and be amongst the first to get their hands on the Sensory Sleep Eye Mask. If the campaign is successful, Clare's estimates the product will have its full launch to market in January 2024.
