Queen hair salon relocates to Dame Street
Salon group, Queen, has relocated its Dublin city centre location to the former Preen salon in Dame Street.
Previously located in Augier Street, Dublin for 10 years, Queen Dame Street joins the salon group's two other business premises, Queen Stillorgan and Queen Central Park.
Queen Salon Group's Pauline Whelan has driven the move to the new premises, following the premature death in October 2020 of business partner, John Maher, founder of Queen Salon & Academy.
Stylist John and colourist Pauline worked together over a number of years, initially at Toni&Guy; John represented the Toni&Guy brand in Ireland and had his own Toni&Guy Salon in Blackrock, whilst Pauline worked in the Toni&Guy Ann Street South and Toni&Guy Limerick salons. John established his own business, Queen, in 2010, with Pauline joining him in 2015.
Following the opening of Queen Dame Street, Katherine Sweeney, former owner of Preen, has joined Queen Dame Street as Creative & Education Director, and businessman Sam Nayagam has come on board as an investor and business and financial advisor.
