Nail Art Step by Step: Super sweet Easter-inspired nails
With Easter around the corner, Caroline Roberts, Salon System Nail Expert and owner of Nail Fairy, has created this seasonally-inspired uber-cute nail art design of bunnies and chocolate eggs using Salon System's Gellux collection of gel polishes. By inspired to recreate Caroline's full design or offer clients an accent bunny or egg nail for a super-sweet look.
Step #1
Prep the nails and push back the cuticles. Shape and buff the natural nail bed with a grey and yellow buffer.
Dust and wipe the nails with Gellux Prep and Wipe and then apply a thin layer of Gellux Fast Bond.
Step #2
Mix Gellux Mini Lemon Meringue with Gellux Purely White to create a pastel yellow on the thumb, and use a thin liner brush to create a V shape tip at the end of the nail.
Then, apply Gellux Beach You To It to the index finger, Gellux Are You Shore to the middle finger and Gellux Go With The Flow on the Pinky using the same method. Cure for 60 seconds.
Step #3
For this step, using a gel brush apply Gellux Purely White to the ring finger, covering just the tip of the nail almost like a half-moon. Cure for 60 seconds.
Step #4
After curing, use a thin liner brush to create two oval shapes on the top of the half-moon to make the shape of bunny ears. Cure for 60 seconds.
Step #5
Next, using a thin liner art brush apply Gellux Beach You To It into the middle of the bunny ear shapes we have created. Cure for 60 seconds.
Step #6
Use Gellux Black Onyx to create eyelashes with a thin liner brush and a dotting tool for the heart shaped nose. Cure for 60 seconds.
Step #7
For this step, using a dotting too create little flowers across the top of the bunny's head using Gellux Are You Shore, Gellux Go With The Flow, Gellux Mini Lemon Meringue and Gellux Sea You Later.
Next, using Gellux Black Onyx and a cocktail stick, place a tiny dot into the middle of the coloured dots to create a flower effect, and set for 60 seconds.
Step #8
Using Gellux Black Onyx and a cocktail stick, apply tiny spots and Mia-shaped dots to the rest of the coloured fingers to give that Mini Egg effect. Cure for 60 seconds.
Finally for that glossy finish, apply Gellux Shiny Top Coat and set for 60 seconds. Then wipe away the sticky residue with Gellux Prep + Wipe before applying cuticle oil to finish.
