Irish brand develops microbiome-friendly facial serum
Sásta Skin Health has achieved "Microbiome-Friendly" certification from MyMicrobiome for its new facial serum - the only beauty product in Ireland to have done so.
Sásta Microbiome Booster Serum has been formulated in line with the brand's holistic approach to how exercise, diet and sleep can influence skin health. The new serum is suited to all skin types especially those experiencing irregular pigmentation, inflammation, sensitivity and dehydration.
It is formulated with prebiotic and postbiotic ingredients that work in synergy to repair the skin barrier. Ectoin is a natural cell protector, extracted from strains of robust bacteria which live in extremely stressful environments. Lactobacillus Ferment Lysate promotes oxygen uptake and collagen production, whilst Cottonbloom extract is a biofunctional complex composed of natural sugars which help keep skin hydrated and nourished.
As a result of use, skin inflammation, redness and pigmentation are reduced. The skin's natural pH levels are rebalanced and hydration levels boosted so that signs of premature ageing are diminished.
MyMicrobiome is an independent certification and research institute which aims to offer consumers clarity on personal care products that are well tolerated by the skin microbiome.
