Industry urged to support Red Cross Ukraine appeal
The Hair and Beauty Confederation Ireland (HABIC) are organising a fundraising campaign to support the people of Ukraine.
Through the Red Cross' Ukraine Crisis Appeal, HABIC is urging salons across the country to organise fundraising events over the coming days; this could be in the form of a portion of sales on a particular day, a contribution of tips or simply a bucket collection. The Red Cross will use the money raised to provide supplies of food, medical equipment, water and shelter.
In addition, HABIC are asking hair and beauty professionals to wear the Ukrainian colours of blue and yellow to work on Saturday 19th March in a show of solidarity with the Ukrainian people.
