Cork hairstylist develops pure Irish Sea Salt Spray
Barber and hair stylist Ciarán O'Sullivan is developing a range of salon quality retail skin and hair products, launching with the introduction of KiwiSalt, a pure Irish Sea Salt Spray.
Cork-based Ciarán worked with a cosmetic chemist to develop the range, using the pandemic lockdown of 2021 to refine and develop his plans.
Created to add a beachy textured effect to the hair, KiwiSalt Sea Salt Spray is formulated with natural Achill Island Sea Salt, which is organically hand harvested in small batches using a slow evaporation process. It is rich in naturally therapeutic minerals, vitamins and amino acids which support stronger hair. In addition, the scalp benefits from the exfoliating effect of sea salt.
The spray is also formulated with certified organic Kiwi, which has an AHA base so has the ability to improve the appearance of hair and maintain the style's hold for longer even during humidity.
Commenting on the launch of
KiwiSalt, Ciarán O'Sullivan, who is better known by his nickname Kiwi, says:
“I wanted an authentic Irish product, with organically sourced ingredients, that is also a professional-grade haircare treatment. A good quality personal-grooming product means busy clients can achieve their salon look in the weeks in-between salon visits, and then they don't need to visit the barbershop as frequently.”
Ciarán is now working on a full skincare and hair styling product range formulated with Irish ingredients.
