Binning the microbead!
We're becoming more and more conscious of the impact that plastic is having on the world's oceans. Plastic microbeads are tiny plastic particles that are used in some cosmetic products like exfoliants, creams and toothpastes. These microbeads end up accumulating in the sea and entering the food chain. Some countries, such as the USA and UK, have already prohibited the use of plastic microbeads and it is expected that the EU will prohibit their general use in 2020. Cosmewax has joined a growing list of brands that have removed microbeads from their products before such a ban comes in – fair play!
