Permanent Make Up championships return to Dublin
The World Universal League of Permanent Make Up (WULOP) is returning to Ireland this September.
The three-day event is taking place in Dublin for the third year, and invites Permanent Makeup (MPU) Artists from Ireland and Northern Ireland to celebrate this sector of the beauty industry.
Key to the event is the WULOP competition, where participants will demonstrate their skills in brows (microblading, hairstrokes and ombre), lips and shaded eyeliner, and present their techniques in areola/medical pigmentation, scalp pigmentation, magnetic removal and stretch mark removal.
The competition will be judged by leading PMU artists representing Ireland, USA, UK, Poland and Vietnam.
First prize winners will go forward to represent Ireland in the World PMU Championship held in Turkey.
In addition to the competition, WULOP 2023 will also offer delegates the chance to network with other professionals, watch inspiring and education demonstrations and stage shows. Plus, a dinner and dance evening will celebrate the PMU sector and offer an additional opportunity for networking.
WULOP 2023 Ireland and Northern Ireland is organised by Aleksandra Pawlak, PMU expert and founder of Butterfly Effect Salon. Commenting on the event, Aleksandra says:
“Both my team and I are delighted to be returning for our third year; 2023 is going to be bigger than ever before as we increase the event from two to three days. I am proud to organize the PMU Championship and bring together professionals in the industry to share their stories and experiences. Don't want to be a competitor? There is plenty of opportunities to experience the world of makeup with something for everyone. An event for competitors, friends and family.”
WULOP 2023 takes place on 10th to 11th September 2023 at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Dublin.
