NYX launches 'Game Out Loud' pride campaign
NYX Professional Makeup has launched a campaign against anti-LGBTQIA+ bullying in online gaming.
The NYX Professional Makeup 'Game Out Loud' pride campaign aims to bring awareness to the nearly 90% of LGBTQIA+ gamers who report being harassed about their identities online. The campaign targets hate by creating safe spaces in the metaverse, including The House of NYX Professional Makeup in iHeartLand on Roblox as well as on Twitch and nyxcosmetics.com, and in real life.
NYX will also be advocating for LGBTQIA+ individuals by offering allyship training.
The campaign is fronted by five LGBTQIA+ creators and gamers including Brian Diaz (he/him), Frederic Chen (he/him), Glitch (she/her), Lilly Teel (she/her) and Martin Corona (he/him).
Commenting on NYX Professional Makeup's 'Game Out Loud', Nicolas Vissat, Assistant Vice President of US Marketing, says:
"Our longstanding allyship to the LGBTQIA+ community is a major pillar of our brand values. NYX Professional Makeup stands for artistry for all, and proudly advocates for the community's freedom of expression online and offline."
