Monart named Destination Spa of the Year
Monart Destination Spa has been named Destination Spa of the Year at the Pevonia UK Awards.
The Co. Wexford spa beat Carton House Spa at the Carton House Golf & Spa Resort in Co. Kildare to the title, who were Highly Commended.
The annual Pevonia UK Awards commemorate salons, spas and therapists in six different categories, based upon sales, performance, marketing, staffing, training, inventiveness, creativity and overall success.
Salon and spa clients were invited to vote for their favourites, with over 1,000 public votes received. A panel of judges then considered the shortlist.
The winners of the Pevonia UK Awards 2018 are as follows:
European Destination Spa of the Year
Winner: Amathus Spa, Amathus Beach Hotel Limassol, Cyprus
Destination Spa of the Year
Winner: Monart Destination Spa, Co. Wexford
Highly Commended: Carton House Spa, Carton House Golf & Spa Resort, Co. Kildare
Hotel Spa of the Year
Winner: thespa at Cadbury House, Bristol
Highly Commended: thespa at Doubletree By Hilton Chester
Day Spa of the Year
Winner: Dreamsday Spa, Carlisle
Salon of the Year
Joint Winners: Jane Bulbeck, Chichester and Senses of Siam, Tamworth
Therapist of the Year – North
Winner: Christabel Davies – Figure & Face, Welshpool
Therapist of the Year – South
Winner: Jane Bulbeck, Chichester
Over the coming weeks, winners of the Pevonia UK Awards will be presented with an engraved trophy and certificate along with a winners' emblem to use on their marketing materials, whilst the winning therapists will also receive a ‘Therapist of the Year' name badge and cheque for £100.
