Gen-A warned of importance of sunscreen

Sensitive skin experts Elave Skincare have launched a new sunscreen campaign to raise awareness of the importance of protecting Ireland's Alpha Generation from UV skin damage.
Explaining the risks of sun damage for Gen-A children (those born between 2010 and 2025), Joanna Gardiner of Elave Skincare, says:
“We can't just ignore the fact that melanoma is the most common type of cancer in the 15-44 age group. Experts confirm that just one blistering sunburn during childhood or adolescence nearly doubles the chance of developing skin cancer in later life.
