Dún Laoghaire welcomes Italian-inspired hair salon
A new Italian-inspired all-natural hair salon has opened in Dún Laoghaire offering sustainable pampering without plastic or synthetic ingredients.
Organic Italian is owned by Italian couple Francesco Piccolo and Ivana Margarini (pictured), who work alongside Ivana's daughter Carlotta and a team of stylists.
The front of the premises features a wellbeing store stocking natural skincare, essential oils and food, with the hairdressing salon named ‘Conlemany' at the rear; the name is taken from the Italian meaning ‘with the use of hands'.
Treatments offered at Conlemany at Organic Italian include hair colouring, conditioning and scalp care using products made from organic ingredients including oils, clay, vegetable butters and botanicals that are also vegan, cruelty-free and eco-friendly.
The salon is fitted out in natural and recycled materials, and homecare products purchased can be refilled.
Commenting on the launch of
Conlemany at Organic Italian, co-owner Ivana Margarini says:
“A healthy organic lifestyle means caring not only about what we put into our bodies, but also about what we put on our bodies. The skin is our largest organ, and anything we use on it is absorbed into the bloodstream. So, an organic diet for our hair and scalp makes sense.”
